The Keith Hoban Memorial Trophy is a NEJCA flagship event. The Keith Hoban has often (but not always!) been won by one of our junior internationalists and is always fiercely competitive with a lot of high quality chess. There will also be the supporting Rising Stars and Novice events, again much-prized trophies. The event will again be held in Albyn School, Queen's Road, Aberdeen as part of their sponsorship of junior chess in the area. Tea and coffee will be available in the canteen area as usual, but entrants and parents/guardians should bring their own snacks.

As part of Chess Scotland's wish to make major junior events available to all the geographical regions of Scotland the North-East has been selected to host the prestigious Scottish Girls Championship for a fourth successive year.
We have been fortunate to again obtain Brotherton Castle (home of Lathallan School) as the host venue.
The tournaments will take place on Saturday 11th March 2017.
